You can use Google's USB Type-C to DisplayPort Cable to connect the 13" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) to a monitor like the LG 27 inch Class Ultra HD IPS 4K 27UD88-W Monitor which has a standard DisplayPort connector as one of its video inputs.

To get 4K resolution from the LG 27 inch Class Ultra HD IPS 4K 27UD88-W Monitor, click Scaled and select the 3840 x 2160 display resolution.

It is great to see that the 13" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) works well with Google's USB Type-C to DisplayPort Cable to connect with monitors using standard DisplayPort connectors.
