The Nintendo Switch AC Adapter not only provides fast charging for its own Nintendo Switch but can also charge other USB Type-C and Power Delivery enabled devices like the Nubia Z17 phone using USB Power Delivery.
The Nintendo Switch AC Adapter starts charging the Nubia Z17 from 0% battery by constantly advertising its source capabilities of 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) and 39 watts (15 volts @ 2.6 amps) over USB Power Delivery.
After some time the Nubia Z17 finally requests 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) from the charger which it accepts.
We can confirm that the Nubia Z17 charges fine over USB Power Delivery with the Nintendo Switch AC Adapter by drawing 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) from the charger while at zero charge. Unfortunately the Nintendo charger doesn't use the more standard 5 volts @ 3 amps power profile which would allow the phone to charge faster.
