Both the BatPower PD6 power bank and the LG G6 phone support charging using Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology so let's see how well they work together from a 2% battery charge on the phone.

The BatPower PD6 can supply 15 watts based charging through its orange USB Type-A connector that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. When connected to the USB Type-C port of the LG G6, the phone is turned on and starts to trickle charge in between rapidly changing current at both 5 and 9 volts. The phone is turned off after 30 seconds and can be seen to draw a higher power of around 13.5 watts (9 volts @ 1.5 amps). After 90 seconds, we turn the phone on and the current drops down quickly to 0.2 amps @ 5 volts. The phone goes on to repeat its initial charging at almost similar power levels which then follows with unstable charging at 9.2 volts.

We also observed similar charging behavior between the LG G6 and the BatPower PD6 over USB Power Delivery (see this review). The phone unfortunately doesn't seem to charge well with the power bank using either Qualcomm Quick Charge or USB Power Delivery. In another previous review, we could also see the phone not charging properly with the Qualcomm Quick Charge based AUKEY 3000mAh Type-C Power Bank (PB-Y3).
