To see if you can quickly charge your LG G5 using the third party Google Universal 22.5 W Dual Port USB Type-C Charger, we'll link up the phone to the Google charger over one of its USB Type-C ports.

The Google Universal 22.5 W Dual Port USB Type-C Charger supports USB Power Delivery but doesn't use a USB Power Delivery controller, so it is unable to set up a USB Power Delivery contract with the LG G5 which also supports USB Power Delivery charging.

With its battery fully drained, the LG G5 can be seen to get only around 10 watts (5 volts @ 2 amps) of charging from the Google Universal 22.5 W Dual Port USB Type-C Charger.
