The Apple 29W USB-C Power Adapter was originally made to provide USB Power Delivery charging for Apple Mac's but the charger can also be used with other non Apple products like the Nintendo Switch which also supports USB Power Delivery technology.

When connected to the Nintendo Switch over USB Type-C, the Apple 29W USB-C Power Adapter starts communicating with the Switch over USB Power Delivery by showing that it supports 12 watts (5 volts @ 2.4 amps) and 29.6 watts (14.8 volts @ 2 amps) power profiles.

The Nintendo Switch from a fully drained battery is first seen to request 7.4 watts (14.8 volts @ 0.5 amps) from the Apple charger and gets accepted.

The Nintendo Switch later follows up to establish the maximum PDO of 29.6 watts (14.8 volts @ 2 amps) power contract with the Apple charger.

We can confirm that the Nintendo Switch can charge with the Apple 29W USB-C Power Adapter over USB Power Delivery by pulling around 11.7 watts (14.6 volts @ 0.8 amps) from the Apple charger starting from 0% battery level on the Switch.
