The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 supports Qi wireless charging but trying the phone with the Belkin Boost Up 15-Watt Qi Compatible Wireless Charging Pad & Charger, it still takes the same amount of time to charge as using Samsung's own 7.5W enabled Fast Charge Wireless Charging Stand. This suggests that the Galaxy Note 8 is only able to charge at 7.5W and not able to take advantage of the 15W Qi Medium Power standard.

You can achieve faster charging by using an inexpensive Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 based USB charger like the Xiaomi 18W QC 3.0 Charger. Here, the Galaxy Note 8 will pull 13 watts allowing the phone to charge in less than 1 hour and 40 minutes from a 0% battery.
