The Huawei P10 came with the Huawei SuperCharge charger that uses Huawei SuperCharge technology over USB Type-C to provide 22.5 watts (4.5 volts @ 5 amps or 5 volts @ 4.5 amps) of charging to the phone. The Huawei P10 can also work with USB Power Delivery based chargers like the Nintendo Switch AC Adapter that was made for the Nintendo Switch.

When plugged in over USB Type-C, we observed the Nintendo Switch AC Adapter repeatedly claimed over USB Power Delivery to provide 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) and 39 watts (15 volts @ 2.6 amps) to charge the Huawei phone from a fully depleted battery.

After a hard reset later, the Huawei P10 finally requested 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) from the Nintendo charger which it then complied.

When directly connected to the Nintendo Switch AC Adapter over USB Type-C, starting from zero charge the Huawei P10 took approximately 180 minutes to fully charge.

While the phone was switched off or in sleep mode, it started off pulling 1.4 amps at 5 volts for about 110 minutes. While the phone was being used, the current gradually dropped down to .1 amps.

Overall it took about 3 hours to fully charge the Huawei P10 with the Nintendo Switch AC Adapter using USB Power Delivery.

The phone is able to charge with the Nintendo charger at around the negotiated 7.5 watts, although at a much lower power than what the phone could achieve with its own SuperCharge charger.
