The Huawei P8 is a popular phone especially in Asia, so it is important that it can connect to the wide variety of wearables that its user base may own. We tested the Huawei P8 with the Fitbit Alta in order to see how it would hold up.
The process of getting the two devices to communicate starts much like any other nowadays with smartphones- you must acquire the necessary app. A simple search for "Fitbit" on Google Play will result in the proper app showing up in the search suggestions.
A quick download later, we are able to access the login screen. Since we have a Fitbit account already, logging in is quick, and clicking on the dashboard brings us to the following page:
This screenshot was taken after the Fitbit Alta already synchronized the Huawei P8, which the Fitbit does automatically after Bluetooth is enabled on the phone.
The Fitbit user interface is clean and intuitive, and the Huawei P8 runs well enough with the Fitbit Alta that these devices can be trusted to work well together on a regular basis.
