Multi-port chargers like the Atomi Power Tower Plus are useful when you need to simultaneously charge multiple devices quickly. You can use the Atomi Power Tower Plus to power your mobile devices as well as notebook PC's and printers in parallel through its four USB charging ports and dual power outlets. The charger can deliver up to 40 watts of charging with max 8 amps current as claimed by Atomi.

The Atomi Power Tower Plus provides not only USB Type-C based but also Qualcomm Quick Charge based and legacy charging over USB Type-A. Note this Atomi charger does not support USB Power Delivery technology for fast charging over its single USB Type-C port, unlike other Qualcomm Quick Charge based chargers like the Verizon USB Type-C Wall Charger with Fast Charge Technology and BatPower PD6.

We purchased the Atomi Power Tower Plus at Best Buy in San Diego, California (click here for USB Type-C products found at this Best Buy).

The Atomi Power Tower Plus comes in a nice looking box and the folks at Atomi did a good job with the box design that shows off the charger in a very professional way. Oddly though, the Atomi Power Tower Plus was not even listed in its own web product page.

The back of the box promotes Atomi's own branded Ai Smart charging which for some reason Atomi does not clearly label what type of power charging is supported. 

Oddly there was no mention of the USB power profiles supported by the Atomi Power Tower Plus's USB Type-C port. Here it only claims that the overall charger can output maximum 40W and 8 amps current. Later through testing, we find out that the Atomi Power Tower Plus doesn't support USB Power Delivery. It would have been a lot better for Atomi to clearly state that their USB Type-C port does not support USB Power Delivery rather than be silent about it.

The Atomi Power Tower Plus is provided with only a AC power cord and documentation.

Atomi also boasts the quick charging capabilities of its charger using Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 compared to legacy charging. 

The Atomi Power Tower Plus has a total of 3 USB Type-A ports, one of which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and the rest which support Atomi's proprietary Ai Smart charging. You can use the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 port to rapidly charge your Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 enabled tablets or phones. The Ai Smart charging ports should be used with non USB Power Delivery capable devices like the Huawei P9 through a USB Type-C to Type-A cable. 

The Atomi charger's sole USB Type-C port can be plugged in with a USB Type-C to Type-C cable to directly charge USB Type-C based phones, tablets, or certain notebook PC's supporting USB-C input charging. But don't expect any USB Power Delivery function from this USB Type-C port.

On top of each USB port of the charger is an LED charge indicator that lights up when charging takes place. Note this will not indicate the level of charging for your connected device.  

The Atomi Power Tower Plus has a unique design which unlike many other USB wall chargers also comes with two additional standard power outlets.  You can conveniently plug in your power adapters or other devices such as computer and printer AC cords to these outlets.

The Atomi Power Tower Plus is not only suitable for home or office use but also portable enough to carry while on the road which is great given many hotel rooms lack a lot of AC power outlets to plug in all your power hungry gadgets.
