Xiaomi has been making great inroads in India using the same low cost strategy that made them the best seller in China. This threatens previously dominant low cost players like Micromax. Fortunately for Micromax, their Canvas Knight 2 works well with Xiaomi's ultra low cost fitness wearable, the Mi Band.
To set up the Mi Band, first go on the Google Play Store in the Canvas Knight 2 to download and install the Mi Fit App.
Once installed, you can open the Mi Fit App and either sign in or create a new Mi Account.
To set up the Mi Account, you'll need to have an active e-mail account in order to verify the account is yours.
You'll also need to give App certain permissions before you can sign in and start customizing your profile.
After you have inputted your name, gender, birthdate, height, weight, and goal, you'll need to turn on Bluetooth so that the App can start the pairing process with the Mi Band.
Once the Mi Band is detected, you can choose the Mi Band to complete the setup process. You can then continue to customize your Mi Band such as which wrist its worn on and app notifications. You can also perform additional customizations on your profile and accounts.
The Xiaomi is a cheap way for everyone to enjoy fitness wearables and it's great that in India it works well with the Micromax's Canvas Knight 2.
