The 24W USB-C Power Adapter is made by Huawei for its MateBook tablet supporting USB Power Delivery for fast charging over the USB Type-C connector. The HTC 10 phone comes with a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 enabled charger but also supports USB Power Delivery charging. Let's see how well USB Power Delivery works between the phone and the Huawei charger when the phone's battery is 71% full.

The charger is observed to declare USB Power Delivery profiles of 10 watts (5 volts @ 2 amps), 18 watts (9 volts @ 2 amps), and 24 watts (12 volts @ 2 amps) over USB Type-C.

The HTC 10 follows up to request 10 watts (5 volts @ 2 amps) from the charger which it accepts.

While the HTC 10 is being charged on a 71% full battery, charging is observed to happen at around 10.6 watts (5.3 volts @ 2 amps).
