Samsung Galaxy Note 4- The Last of it’s Kind

For those looking for old school Samsung Galaxy or Note style phones, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the end of the line.

While the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has decided to emulate the premium phone style found in iPhones, product like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 still had a lot of practical features that created a large loyal Galaxy customer base.

"Phablets" like the Galaxy Note have become less unique as new phones like the iPhone 6S and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have gotten a lot larger.  The most unique aspect of the Galaxy Note series remains the use of the Samsung stylus called the S Pen.

The Galaxy Note comes with S Note which is optimized for writing notes with a stylus.  S Note is very similar in concept the the OneNote found on the Microsoft Surface.

With S Note, you can convert handwriting to text and sharpen drawings.  The S Pen takes a little getting used to since its very thin and writing on the Note 4 doesn't feel like writing on a natural surface.

Perhaps it was inevitable that smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Note decided to emulate the premium look and feel of Apple's iPhone.  For Galaxy traditionalists, buy the Note 4 while you still can- it truly is the last of its kind.
