When testing various Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 enabled AC power adapters with the LG G5 while the LG G5's battery was 20% full, we found a range of behaviors where the LG G5 charges at 14.4 watts (9 volts @ 1.6 amps) from the LG G5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 chargers and 9.9 watts (9 volts @ 1.1 amps) from the HTC 10 charger.  

We then tested the LG G5 with the Tronsmart Presto 12000mA/h External Battery Charger which also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.  With the portable Tronsmart Presto, power is coming directly from its battery rather than through an AC power connection.  

The Tronsmart Presto supports various voltage and current charging combinations using Qualcomm Quick Charge: 5-6.5 volts @ 3 amps, 6.5-9 volts @ 2 amps, 9-12 volts @ 1.5 amps.  

With the LG G5 having a similar 20% charge level, the Tronsmart Presto provided 14.5 watts (6.3 volts @ 2.3 amps) which was comparable to the 14.4 watts (9 volts @ 1.6 amps) seen with the LG G5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 chargers.

The Tronsmart Presto 12000mA/h External Battery Charger works well with the LG G5 taking less than an hour and a half to fully charge.
