The Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 advertises on its outside case that it only supports 10 Watts of charging (5 Volts @ 2 Amps). However, when you use software from Granite River Labs to capture the USB Power Delivery Protocol transactions going between the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 and the Google Universal Type-C Charger 60W, you can see the Venue Pro can do a lot more than 10 Watts of charging.
Based on the protocol trace below, the Dell Venue 8 Pro supports can be charged through USB Power Delivery at 30 Watts (20 Volts @ 1.5 Amps).
The Google Universal Type-C Charger 60W supports 15 Watts (5 Volts @ 3 Amps), 36 Watts (12 Volts @ 3 Amps), and 60 Watts (20 Volts @ 3 Amps).
The scope screenshot below shows the Google Universal Type-C Charger 60W supplying the 20 Volts @ 1.5 Amps requested by the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855.
