Ironically, while USB Audio works with Windows PC's, Microsoft decided not to enable it on its Microsoft Lumia 950 smartphone.  If you plug the CDLA Digital Earphones into the Microsoft Lumia 950, the phone will tell you that this type of device might not work and you should try connecting it to a PC.  True enough, audio will not play through the CDLA Digital Earphones.
