The LG G5 supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology to enable 16 Watts of battery charging (9 Volts @ 1.8 Amps) in addition to supporting two USB Power Delivery modes (15 watts from 5 volts @ 3 amps, 18 watts from 9 volts @ amps).

Fortunately, this means that you can use the LG G5 with the LG 15W Nexus 5X USB-C Power Adapter that came with the LG Google Nexus 5X.  Once you charge the LG G5 with the LG 15W Nexus 5X USB-C Power Adapter, it takes a few minutes for the LG G5 to estimate how long it would take to fully charge the battery.

There is a bug in the LG G5 Battery usage screen whereby the graph showing how quickly the LG G5 is charging doesn't update unless you exit the screen and return to it.

The behavior and charge time is similar to when connecting the LG G5 with its Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger accessory (see screenshots below).

Again, with the bug in the LG G5 Battery usage screen, the graph showing how quickly the LG G5 is charging doesn't update unless you exit the screen and return to it.

Since the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger supports 16 watts versus the 15 watts from the LG 15W Nexus 5X USB-C Power Adapter, the LG G5, charging is slightly faster with the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger.
