The Xiaomi VR Headset works with all phones that have a screen size between 4.7 inches and 5.7 inches- let's see how well it works with the LeEco Le Max 2.

To set up the Mi VR Play with the Le Max 2, first you need to download the QR Scanner App which scans the QR code that comes with the Xiaomi VR Headset's documentation.  Just tap the VR symbol to start downloading the Xiaomi VR App.

  

The Xiaomi VR App in all in Chinese. If you are using the headset outside China, you can also download the Google Cardboard App as well as other VR Apps like ARTE360 VR, Cardboard Camera, End Space VR, Full Dive VR and Hard Code. 

Let's walk through the Xiaomi VR App since it works great with the Le Max 2. Once you download and open the App you can find many pre-stored videos. 

  

Tap on the bottom center blue button which has two dots inside to split the screen and view the video in Virtual Reality mode.

There will first be a reminder to insert the phone into the Xiaomi VR Headset as per below.

               

                           

Once the phone is inserted, you can start experiencing the phone's split screen for each eye.                                                   

 

You can also see a small circle with blue color, which acts like a little mouse and helps you to select the video, play, pause, etc. 

This headset also comes with a strap that holds the headset in place.

The Xiaomi VR Headset works fine with the Le Max 2.  In a separate HTC 10 review , we couldn't access online content on the HTC 10 using the Xiaomi VR App. However, with the Le Max 2, we are able to access both stored and online content without facing any issues.
