The dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger uses USB Power Delivery to charge various PC's and phones that also support USB Power Delivery like the Dell XPS 15 9550 Laptop.  Let's see how well the dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger works with the Dell XPS 15 9550 Laptop.

Using Granite River Labs USB Power Delivery test software, we can see that the dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger supports 15 watts (5 volts@3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts@3 amps), and 30 watts (20 volts@1.5 amps) power profiles. 

The Dell XPS 15 9550 Laptop only requests 5 volts @ .9 amps from the dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger.

After a ID Discovery sequence, the dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger. this time advertises 15 watts (5 volts@3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts@3 amps), 30 watts (15 volts@2 amps), and 30 watts (20 volts@1.5 amps) power profiles. 

However, the Dell XPS 15 9550 Laptop still only requests 5 volts @ .9 amps from the dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger.

The dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger is not recommended to use with the Dell XPS 15 9550 Laptop.
