CalDigit showed its new USB Type-C docks at NAB 2016. The CalDigit USB-C Dock can be connected to a Mac or PC with a USB Type-C upstream port and provide additional port expansion with one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port; three USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports; and ports for DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4, Gigabit Ethernet, and for audio I/O.
CalDigit's USB-C mini Dock has a unique square shape and has the same interfaces as the CalDigit USB-C Dock except for two less USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports and no DisplayPort. The USB-C mini Dock also has a rubberized protective case that cushions the edges and corners. It also comes in different colors.
CalDigit also showed the Thunderbolt 2 (20 Gb/s) based T4 RAID, and announced there will be a Thunderbolt 3 version. CalDigit showed the new Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gb/s) based T8, supporting RAID and JBOD storage, with 8 drive bays. It offers a total capacity of up to 48 TB.
CalDigit also announced the U6, a 6-bay USB 3.1 (10 Gb/s) Type-C based RAID and JBOD storage solution, complementing its other USB Type-C and Thunderbolt products.
