It’s not easy playing content over USB on the Sony 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV with Android- Part 1

Since 4K content is very hard to get over Blu-Ray or your cable TV provider, it's up to you to source your own content.  One obvious way is to just download that content from the Internet and play over USB.  Unfortunately, you need to go through quite a few steps to try and do this with the Sony 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV with Android.

In Android TV, everything is done through apps.  This is something to get used compared to a traditional TV that usually has an input menu and you can select HDMI, USB, etc.  With Android, you need to actually select the Video App in order to play USB on your TV- this is not very intuitive and it took me a while to figure it out.

I then tried to use this app to view some 4K content stored on my SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive.  This drive would couldn't be recognized at all by Android.

Even if you go into the Devices section of the Android menu, it will show that while the SanDisk iXpand USB drive is connected, it still can't find it.
