You can use the StarTech 3-in-1 Travel A/V Adapter with mini DisplayPort to connect any Mac that has a Thunderbolt or mini DisplayPort port to a TV or display with a HDMI connector.

Here we demonstrate this with the Apple Mac Pro (Late 2013) which has six Thunderbolt ports.  The Apple Mac Pro (Late 2013) has a HDMI port but assuming you want to use that HDMI port to connect to other displays or TV's, you can use the StarTech 3-in-1 Travel A/V Adapter to add another HDMI connection.

Just plug the StarTech 3-in-1 Travel A/V Adapter to the Mac using the attached mini-DisplayPort cable.

On the side of the StarTech 3-in-1 Travel A/V Adapter, connect a HDMI cable to the TV or display with HDMI inputs.

You can then connect the other end of the HDMI cable to any TV or monitor.  For convenience, we use the LG Thunderbolt Monitor 34UM95 (even though it can also be directly connected via Thunderbolt to most Mac's).

Assuming you have selected the HDMI input on the TV or display, you should be able to see 3440 x 1440 resolution video on the LG Thunderbolt Monitor 34UM95.
