In addition to USB Power Delivery, the BatPower PD6 power bank can also use Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology to provide 15 watts based charging through its orange USB Type-A connector. Let's see how it works between this power bank and the ZTE Nubia Z17 phone which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology for fast charging via USB Power Delivery or Qualcomm Quick Charge.

The Nubia Z17 is turned on with 13% battery charge remaining when connected over the BatPower PD6's Qualcomm Quick Charge port.  We can see the BatPower PD6 briefly supplies an initial 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) to the phone after which the current level bounces between 1.5 and 0.5 amps. After 15 seconds, the current goes up to around 2 to 2.5 amps @ 5 volts for charging to happen at an average 11 watts. This is the power that the phone draws when in the inactive mode. However we also see that the phone suddenly stops charging when reaching 50 seconds. The phone then resumes charging after 20 seconds by repeating its initial charging at similar power levels.

Since the Nubia Z17 doesn't get a stable charging, we can confirm that the BatPower PD6 can't really charge the phone properly using Qualcomm Quick Charge. We recommend using USB Power Delivery to charge the phone with the power bank as seen in this review.
