The Microsoft Lumia 950 is one of the most featured packed smartphones out there with USB Type-C and one of the unique features of the Lumia is Continuum which creates a Windows desktop like experience when you connect the Lumia to a monitor and docking station like the Microsoft Display Dock.  The LG 27 inch Class Ultra HD IPS 4K 27UD88-W Monitor is an ideal USB Type-C 4K monitor that works with many Type-C notebooks and smartphones supporting DisplayPort over USB Type-C.  

Unfortunately though, the Microsoft Lumia 950's DisplayPort over USB Type-C fails to work with the LG 27 inch Class Ultra HD IPS 4K 27UD88-W Monitor even when using the USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable provided with the LG monitor.

The LG 27 inch Class Ultra HD IPS 4K 27UD88-W Monitor fails to recognize any DisplayPort signals over USB Type-C from the Microsoft Lumia 950.
