The AUKEY CC-T7 Car Charger has 2 USB Type-A ports. The orange colored one supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 port while the green one supports AUKEY's own AiPower charging technology, gives all your USB powered devices exactly what they need with up to 2.4A per Ai USB Port. The Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 have the following power profiles: 6-6.5 volts @ 3 amps, 6.5-9 volts @ 2 amps, 9-12 volts @ 1.5 amps.

The HTC 10 supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 over USB Type-C. Let's see how well it works with the orange Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger port like the AUKEY CC-T7 Car Charger and how that compares with using the green AiPower port.

While charging with the battery at 0% charge, we can observe from the oscilloscope screenshot that voltage is 5.1V and maximum current is 0.9A.

With the battery at 25% charge, we can see from the oscilloscope screenshot that voltage is 6.4V and maximum current has decreased to 2.4A

When the battery is at 50% charge, we can observe from the oscilloscope screenshot that voltage is 6.2V and maximum current is 1.7A

Here is the oscilloscope screen shot with the battery at 75% charge which shows the voltage as 6.2V and maximum current as 1.7A.

The screenshot below shows the voltage and current when the battery is fully charged.

The following graph shows how the HTC 10 draws different current levels at roughly 6 volts as the battery charges from zero to full. Up until 80% charge, the AUKEY CC-T7 Car Charger is providing about 10.5 to 15.4 watts to the HTC 10.

The HTC 10 takes around 1 hour 40 minutes to charge completely while the phone is powered on with the AUKEY CC-T7 Car Charger's Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0 port.

Let's see how well it charges the HTC 10 using the AiPower adaptive port.

The following graph shows how the HTC 10 draws different current levels as the battery charges from zero to full. The AiPower port provides about 10 watts to charge the HTC 10 while the battery is less than 80%.

The HTC 10 takes around 1 hour 50 minutes to charge completely while the phone is powered on with the AUKEY CC-T7 Car Charger's AiPower adaptive charging port.  Despite Qualcomm Quick Charge port providing more power, for some reason there wasn't a significant impact on the total charging time compared with the AiPower port.
