LaCie (which is now part of Seagate) has long been a favorite of Mac fans for Thunderbolt storage products.  At NAB 2016, Seagate/LaCie treated these fans to its first Thunderbolt 3 product, the LaCie 12big Thunderbolt 3.  With the 12big, you can access a whopping 96 TB at a blazing fast 2600 MB/s speed, allowing you to edit 6K video.

The LaCie 12big gets its fast data transfer speed from the two Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gb/s) ports which use the USB Type-C connector.  One port would be used to connect to your Thunderbolt 3 computer, while the other port can also be used to daisy-chain additional Thunderbolt 3 devices. In this configuration, you can take advantage of fast transfer speeds or connect a USB Type-C device for convenience.

Seagate/LaCie also showed its other Thunderbolt 2 products, like the LaCie 5big Thunderbolt 2LaCie 2big Thunderbolt 2, and LaCie d2 Thunderbolt 2; and the unforgettably orange LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt External Hard Drive (USB 3.0).

Seagate/LaCie also showed off their new USB Type-C drives, the LaCie Porsche Design Desktop Drive and the LaCie Porsche Design Mobile Drive.  The LaCie Porsche Design Desktop Drive can even charge the Apple MacBook (Early 2015) while connected over USB Type-C.

LaCie has always been known for combining cutting edge style and innovative technology, and its new lineup of Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C products continues this tradition.
