Taking a look at Yodobashi Camera in Fukuoka Japan in June 2018, we found no USB Power Delivery chargers but a full wall of USB cables. Unlike other electronics stores in other countries, most of the USB cables showed USB-IF certification logo's, meaning they have been officially tested and certified. Brands like Elecom, j5create, Sanwa, digio, and MCO had various USB Type-C cables on display.
Yodobashi Camera sold some Thunderbolt 3 PC's but also had USB 3.1 Gen 2 only PC's like this Fujitsu AH Series Notebook PC.
The Sanwa KU31-CCP510 was the only certified cable there that supported USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gb/s) and 5 amps charging.
