The mophie Powerstation USB-C XXL is now sold through the Apple Store so let's see how it charges the Apple MacBook (Early 2016) using USB Power Delivery 2.0 technology when connected over USB Type-C.

With a fully discharged battery on the Apple MacBook (Early 2016), we could see that the Mac started off pulling current while on a 20 volts rail to settle at around 29 watts of charging with the mophie Powerstation USB-C XXL which itself was about 75% charged. When reaching 40 minutes, the Mac went on to pull quick changing current in between multiple resets thus not able to properly charge. Click here to download the trace captured by the GRL-A1  power analyzer to see more details on how the mophie Powerstation USB-C XXL at 75% battery, charges the Apple MacBook (Early 2016) at 0% battery charge.
