The Nekteck 90W Type-C PD Wall Adapter uses the USB Type-C interface to connect to any of the recent Mac's or Windows notebook PC's that have USB Type-C ports. The AC adapter offers 90 watts of charging using USB Power Delivery 3.0 technology for USB Type-C notebook PC's and tablets like Apple's MacBook Pro 2018 and 11-inch iPad Pro (2018) or even the MacBook 12" Retina 2017 or the Dell XPS 13 9370 and the Google Pixelbook as well as recent phones like the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Series or Android phones such as Google's Pixel 4 XL quickly. Note this adapter does not support Samsung's USB Power Delivery 3.0 PPS based phones such as the Galaxy Note10+ and Galaxy S10 5G.
The unique thing about the Nekteck 90W Type-C PD Wall Adapter is that there aren't a lot of 90W chargers out there and similar to the Apple 87W USB-C Power Adapter, it requires an E-marked cable to support > 60W unlike the Insignia 90W Type-C Wall Adapter which includes the cable tethered to the charger.
The Nekteck 90W Type-C PD Wall Adapter advertises on its box to have been certified by USB-IF through the USB certification logo.
Nekteck provides a separate USB Type-C to Type-C cable for its adapter which is used to connect to the upstream Mac or PC and can provide it up to 90 watts (20 volts @ 4.5 amps) of power using USB Power Delivery 3.0.
For power supply, the Nekteck 90W Type-C PD Wall Adapter uses foldable AC prongs for plugging in to a AC wall socket.
The charger states to support common USB Power Delivery profiles of 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), 36 watts (12 volts @ 3 amps), 45 watts (15 volts @ 3 amps) and 90 watts (20 volts @ 4.5 amps) over USB Type-C.
