I was excited when I bought my Surface Book 2 to take it home and hook it up to my LG Type-C monitor. When it didn't work, I was disappointed. In digging deeper, I found you must use a USB-C to HDMI adapter and use the HDMI connector on the Monitor to make it work. OK, I'll use an adapter, but still a bit of a disappointment as a user.
