The commonly mispronounced France based Carrefour is one of the many large foreign retail chains that have caught on in Taiwan. The Taiwan Carrefour is located in the Neihu District of Taipei which also happens to be the same area of another retail giant US based Costco.

Stopping by this Carrefour, we headed over to the electronics section to look for USB Type-C cables. The store offered various USB Type-C accessories from universal and Lightning cables to chargers and adapters. Most of these were made up of Taiwanese brands like the more popular HTC and Asus as well as the lesser known Avier, JTL, and Art Power.

We picked out a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable by local brand Jetart which also produced different types of Type-C cables.

The Jetart TYPE-C to TYPE-C Cable that we purchased supports only USB 2.0 (480 Mb/s) speeds so don't expect to connect this cable to USB 3.1, Thunderbolt 3, or USB Type-C monitors.

The 1.2m long cable can be used to connect to your Type-C devices for data transfer or charging up to 3A.
