The AUKEY CC-Y7 Car Charger conveniently supports USB Type-C based charging using USB Power Delivery while on your commute. To see how well it can work with USB Power Delivery enabled phones like the HTC 10, we'll connect the charger to the phone over the USB Type-C connector.

We can see that the AUKEY CC-Y7 Car Charger negotiates with the HTC 10 over USB Power Delivery by repeatedly displaying 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), and 36 watts (12 volts @ 3 amps) power profiles. Note that the charger's casing states different power profiles of 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 22.5 watts (9 volts and 2.5 amps), and 24 watts (12 volts @ 2 amps) from its USB Type-C port.

The HTC 10 requests to pull 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) after some time which is accepted by the charger.

While the HTC 10 is being charged on a 50% full battery, the phone pulls 13.5 watts (5 volts @ 2.7 amps).

It's good to see that the AUKEY CC-Y7 Car Charger can charge the HTC 10 effectively over USB Power Delivery.
