The BatPower PD6 can provide alternative charging for the HTC 10 phone if the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger that came with the phone isn't available. Here we look at how the HTC 10 uses Qualcomm Quick Charge with the BatPower PD6 when connected over the Qualcomm Quick Charge based USB Type-A port of the power bank.

When directly connected using a USB Type-A to Type-C cable and turned on, we can see that the HTC 10 only begins charging from an 8% battery with the BatPower PD6 after more than 10 seconds by rapidly changing current in between 1.6 and 0.2 amps at 5 volts. As the phone goes into inactive mode, it draws more power at about 9 watts (9 volts @ 1 amps). After 80 seconds, the power pulled goes up to 14.5 watts (9.1 volts @ 1.6 amps) to allow the phone to charge faster. The HTC 10 was also observed to be pulling similar power over USB Power Delivery in this review as well as with the BatPower's own AC Adapter as seen here.

It's great that you can also use the BatPower PD6 to quickly charge the HTC 10 phone using Qualcomm Quick Charge other than USB Power Delivery.
