As the first Thunderbolt 3 enabled Let's Note PC model by Panasonic, let's see how the Panasonic Let's Note CF-SV7 supports USB Power Delivery 2.0 charging with Thunderbolt 3 based USB Type-C docks such as the CalDigit TS3.
With the Panasonic Let's Note CF-SV7's battery fully discharged, we connected the PC to the CalDigit TS3 over the Thunderbolt 3 interface. The Panasonic Let's Note CF-SV7 started off pulling about 60 watts of power but after the PC has charged a bit, it pulled lower current to charge at mostly around 40 watts with the CalDigit TS3.
The CalDigit TS3 works well with the Panasonic Let's Note CF-SV7 to provide fast charging as well as other connectivity options for the PC.
