Plugging in the Google Universal 22.5 W Dual Port USB Type-C Charger to the USB Type-C port of your Huawei P10 phone, both of which support USB Power Delivery technology, we'll see how well the Google charger can deliver power to the Huawei phone. The Huawei P10 originally promotes Huawei  SuperCharge technology over USB Type-C for rapid charging using the Huawei SuperCharge charger that came with the phone but the phone also supports USB Power Delivery.

Given the Google Universal 22.5 W Dual Port USB Type-C Charger supports USB Type-C current at 3.0 amps rather than active USB Power Delivery, the charger can't establish an active USB Power Delivery protocol negotiation with the Huawei P10.

Looking at the power graph, the Huawei P10 draws just 10.3 watts (5.16 volts @ 2 amps) from the Google Universal 22.5 W Dual Port USB Type-C Charger while being charged from a 6% battery at power off or in sleep mode. This power is much lower than what the phone can get from its own Huawei SuperCharge charger or when used with other USB Power Delivery based chargers like the iVoler 75W USB Type C Charger in this review or the BatPower PD6 (click here).
