To find out if your Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) can be charged by the third party Ventev Wallport pd1300 Wall Charger supporting USB Power Delivery, we'll connect the Mac with the charger over USB Type-C.  The Mac is fully powered off during this entire process and the battery is fully depleted.

The Ventev Wallport pd1300 Wall Charger starts USB Power Delivery negotiations with the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) by declaring its source capabilities of 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), 45 watts (15 volts @ 3 amps), and 45 watts (20 volts @ 2.25 amps). The Mac then requests to pull 45 watts (20 volts @ 2.25 amps) which the charger accepts.

However, the Mac oddly follows up to requests 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) which the charger also complies.

Later on the Mac again requests to pull 45 watts (20 volts @ 2.25 amps) which is accepted by the charger.

While the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) is being charged starting at zero charge, we can see that it pulls 45 watts for about 84 minutes.

The power then drops down further to 35 watts before finally slowly declining to 15 watts as the Mac's battery becomes fully charged.

When we turn on the Mac, the power jumps up back to 45 watts during initial startup but later drops back to 20 watts while being left on.

Overall it takes about 134 minutes to fully charge the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) with the 45 watts Ventev Wallport pd1300 Wall Charger.
