The inexpensive Google Chromecast (2013) can be used to wirelessly display YouTube and other Apps from Android smartphones like the Moto Z Droid on to Smart TVs like the Samsung K4300 Joy Smart TV. Let's see how to connect the Google Chromecast (2013) from the Moto Z Droid.

For starters, make sure that you have connected the Google Chromecast (2013) to one of the HDMI ports of the TV and powered on the Chromecast by attaching the USB cable to a TV USB port or a USB power adapter. You also need to make sure your TV is powered up, and the HDMI input of your TV is the same port that you connected the Chromecast to.

Click here for some quick and simple steps to set up the Google Chromecast (2013). Note that Google has changed the name of the Google Cast App to 'Google Home'.

Assuming that you have already set up the Google Chromecast (2013) and the Moto Z Droid with your local Wi-Fi network, download and install the Google Home App from Google Play on your Moto Z Droid.

Select the App's top right menu icon -> Cast screen / audio -> CAST SCREEN / AUDIO. The App will then search for the Google Chromecast (2013). Once found, select your Google Chromecast (2013) model to start the casting connection process.

Once the casting connection is established, you should be able to view the phone's screen on the TV connected to the Google Chromecast (2013). You can also use the Moto Z Droid phone to control Google Home enabled Apps like YouTube and play the content on the TV rather than on the phone itself.
