The Xbox App from Microsoft allows you to use a compatible Windows phone like the Lumia 950 to control the Xbox One S. As it supports the USB Type-C interface, the Lumia 950 is also compatible with USB Type-C devices like the Plugable USB-C Docking Station.

Here we will set up the Lumia 950 with the Xbox One S over Wi-Fi and see if it works just as well over Ethernet via the Plugable USB-C Docking Station.

First, go to Google Play to install the Xbox App on the Lumia 950.

Once installed, launch the Xbox App and sign in with your Microsoft account.

Assuming you have set up your Lumia 950 and the Xbox One S on the same Wi-Fi network, the App should see your Xbox One S device and ask you to connect to it.

On top of that, you can also use your Lumia 950 as a remote control for the Xbox One S. However, the remote function isn't so intuitive to use with the Xbox One S controller buttons represented by different colored lines on the edges of the screen.

One useful feature of the Xbox App is allowing you to connect to a TV for better gaming experience.

This shows that the Lumia 950 can work well with the Xbox One S over Wi-Fi, giving you more connectivity options. What's more, you are also able to extend your game play to a larger screen using the Xbox App.
