The WeMo Mini Smart Plug works with Amazon Alexa so let's see how to set it up using an Android phone like the Google Pixel 2 XL.
You first need to install the Wemo App and and associate the WeMo Mini Smart Plug to that App as seen in this review.
You then need to download and install the Amazon Alexa App on the phone.
Next, you need to log into Amazon Alexa using your existing account or create a new one. You can then let Alexa know who you are and optionally give permission for Amazon to upload your contacts.
If you then go to the Smart Home screen in the Alexa App, you can select 'Add Devices' in the Devices section. Alexa should then discover the WeMo Mini Smart Plug which had been set up previously through the Wemo App.
You can then turn on and off the WeMo Mini Smart Plug directly from the Alexa Smart Home screen as well as control it using voice on your Amazon Echo, Tap, Echo Dot, Fire TV, and Fire TV Stick.
