The KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location uses the Tile App which can be downloaded through Google Play on your Android phone like the  Huawei P10.

Here we already had the Tile App from setting up the Tile Slim for our wallet and now wanted to track our keys using the KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location.

The Tile App had a new home screen to make it easier to find your Tile devices, share and customize your Tile devices. 

  

  

To add the KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location, select the plus sign on the top left of the App. Tile has only a few partners which have enabled Tile technology like Fossil for wallets, Herschel for wallets and key rings, Nomad for mobile device accessories, and KeySmart. After selecting 'View all partners', you can then select 'KeySmart Pro'.

 

Make sure that the KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location has already been charged. You can then press the Tile button at the top of the  KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location to connect to the App.

The KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location needs to be placed near the phone in order to connect using Bluetooth Low Energy.

  

When we tried to connect the KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location to the Huawei P10, the connection progress wheel kept on turning so we went back to the main menu.

Fortunately, the App still found the KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location and was able to register it to the App despite the KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location connection step not completely finishing earlier. We could then select the 'Find' button to make the KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location emit a ringtone and also select the KeySmart Pro device in the Home Screen to find it on the map based on the GPS information of the phone that located the device.

  

The Huawei P10 was able to work well with the KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location despite some hiccups in the setup process, allowing us to find our keys easily from the phone.
