The Google Chromecast (2013) is not only budget friendly but also allows you to easily connect your phone or computer's Chrome browser to your TV. The Chromecast also works great with your iPhone 6s and here's how you can set it up on your phone.

First, you need to plug in the Chromecast to a HDMI port on the TV, and power on the Chromecast by attaching the USB cable to a TV's USB port or USB power adapter. At the same time, ensure that the TV is powered up and check that the HDMI input of the TV belongs to the same port where you have connected the Chromecast.

On your iPhone 6s, go to the Apple App Store to download and install the Google Home App. Note that Google has changed the name of the Google Cast App to 'Google Home'.

  

Once installed, open the Google Home App where after you accept Google's Privacy Policy, it will ask you to turn on Bluetooth for setup. If you don't want to set the Chromecast through Bluetooth then go ahead and skip this step.

  

Since Apple doesn't allow the Google Home App to automatically change your iPhone's Wi-Fi network, you need to manually join the network and then once connected, set up the Chromecast to join the local Wi-Fi network.

   

Once your Chromecast is on the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone, you will then need to pair your Chromecast device with the App by verifying the code you see at the bottom right of your TV. If you want to enjoy Chromecast with friends and family, remember to select "Enable guest mode".

    

At this point, select the local Wi-Fi network for the Chromecast to join.

  

You should then be able to see the Chromecast device appear in the Devices tab on the Google Home App. Other than setting up the device, the App also acts as a gateway to different content and apps on your iPhone that take advantage of Chromecast like Chrome and YouTube. You can select the Get Apps tab to find more Apps and games that make use of Chromecast.
