The Nubia Z17 phone by ZTE supports USB Power Delivery for fast charging so let's see how well it works with the 24W USB-C Power Adapter, a USB Power Delivery charger that came with the Huawei MateBook PC. The Nubia Z17's battery is completely drained when we start charging it with the 24W USB-C Power Adapter over the USB Type-C connector.

The Huawei charger can be seen to constantly advertise its USB Power Delivery source capabilities of 10 watts (5 volts @ 2 amps), 18 watts (9 volts @ 2 amps), and 24 watts (12 volts @ 2 amps) without any response from the Nubia Z17 which has zero charge in its battery.

At 0% battery, the Nubia Z17 starts pulling up to 12 watts (4.8 volts @ 2.5 amps) in the first 15 seconds. After that there's a frequent rise and fall in power level which shows that the phone is not able to charge properly with the 24W USB-C Power Adapter using USB Power Delivery.

Since both the phone and charger support Qualcomm Quick Charge technology as well as USB Power Delivery, given that there is no USB Power Delivery based power contract established, perhaps Quick Charge may be involved but still there is not stable charging behavior established.
