The Targus 45W USB Type-C Laptop AC Wall Charger (click here for Amazon pricing) promises to deliver fast charging using USB Power Delivery technology over its USB Type-C port up to 45W. Here we see how this third party charger powers the USB Power Delivery enabled Nintendo Switch Console starting from a 0% battery.

When plugged in to the Nintendo Switch Console with both left and right Joy Con controllers attached, the Targus 45W USB Type-C Laptop AC Wall Charger declares its USB Power Delivery source capabilities of 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 36 watts (12 volts @ 3 amps), and 37.5 watts (15 volts @ 2.5 amps).

The Nintendo Switch Console proceeds to request only 7.5 watts (15 volts @ 0.5 amps) from the Targus charger which it accepts.

Later we can see the Switch Console decides to request the maximum 37.5 watts (15 volts @ 2.5 amps) from the Targus charger.

After the Targus charger accepted the 37.5 watts of charging, we also observe the charger declares to support a fourth PDO of 45 watts (20 volts @ 2.25 amps) in addition to the 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 36 watts (12 volts @ 3 amps), and 37.5 watts (15 volts @ 2.5 amps) it initially offered.

The Switch Console instead chooses to repeat its initial negotiation with the Targus charger to again establish a 7.5 watts (15 volts @ 0.5 amps) power contract.

With this lower wattage, it will take a longer time for the Switch Console to charge with the Targus 45W USB Type-C Laptop AC Wall Charger. However, we can see that the Targus 45W USB Type-C Laptop AC Wall Charger actually pulls more than 9.4 amps which is more than the 7.5 watts power contract which is not proper behavior. The 9.4 watts pulled is less power than the >15 watts that the Nintendo Switch Console pulls from its own Nintendo Switch AC Adapter as seen in this review.
