The Samsung 25W USB-C Fast Charging Wall Charger offers a portable charging option to bring on your travels which can be used to charge  recent Samsung Galaxy phones as well as various USB Type-C devices like the Huawei P10 phone. The Huawei P10 supports both USB Power Delivery and Huawei's own SuperCharge technology over its USB Type-C interface while the Samsung 25W charger provides Samsung’s proprietary Adaptive Fast Charging based quick battery charging when plugged in to the phone’s USB Type-C connector.

The Samsung 25W USB-C Fast Charging Wall Charger supports the following power profiles- 25 watts (12 volts @ 2.1 amps), 15 watts (9 volts @ 1.67 amps), and 10 watts (5 volts @ 2 amps) for charging over its USB Type-A connector.

To see how the Samsung 25W USB-C Fast Charging Wall Charger supplies power to the Huawei P10, we use the GRL-USB-PD-A1 test software by Granite River Labs when the phone's battery is completely drained. During the initial plugin, the Huawei phone starts to trickle charge over unstable current at around 5 volts while switched off. At one point the current even goes down to below 0.1 amps but quickly picks up to smooth out charging at around 9.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.9 amps).

While the Samsung 25W USB-C Fast Charging Wall Charger can deliver almost 10W charging to the Huawei P10, the phone is still able to charge faster using Huawei SuperCharge. For phones that don’t support Samsung’s proprietary quick charging standard, 10W is reasonable enough for a quick charge up when needed.
