The travel-friendly Innergie PowerGear USB-C 45 can be used to charge most USB Type-C devices supporting USB Power Delivery including the Nintendo Switch Console.

To observe the USB Power Delivery communications between the Innergie charger and Switch Console, we hook up both devices over USB Type-C when the Switch's battery is 7% charged.

The Innergie PowerGear USB-C 45 is seen to offer 4 different power profiles: 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 36 watts (12 volts @ 3 amps), 45 watts (15 volts @ 3 amps) and 45 watts (20 volts @ 2.25 amps) to the Nintendo Switch Console.

The Nintendo Switch Console starts to request only 7.5 watts (15 volts @ 0.5 amps) from the Innergie charger which it accepts.

We later observe the Nintendo Switch Console eventually settles on 45 watts (15 volts @ 3 amps) power contract with the Innergie charger.

Here we can verify that the Switch Console with 7% battery is pulling current at 15 volts resulting in a 16.5 to 19.5 watts power band. This power range is higher than when using the Switch's own AC Adapter, which shows that the Switch works well with the third party Innergie  PowerGear USB-C 45 using USB Power Delivery.
