The Huawei P9 phone comes with a USB Type-C connector which doesn't support USB Power Delivery or any other fast charging technology. But what happens when you charge the phone over Qualcomm Quick Charge using the third party BatPower PD6 Power Bank?

When connecting the BatPower PD6 through its Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 enabled USB Type-A port to the Huawei P9, we observe that the phone starts pulling only around 2.6 watts (5.2 volts @ 0.5 amps) from a 4% battery charge while turned on and in active mode. When turned off, the phone can be seen to draw more power to charge at 10 watts (5 volts @ 2 amps).

The BatPower PD6 is able to charge the Huawei P9 at the maximum 10 watts power that the phone can draw over USB Type-C, which is also similar to what we've seen in this review. You can use this power bank as a portable charging option to keep your Huawei phone charged while on the go.
