How the HTC 10 Performs with the ASUS MB169C+ USB Type-C Portable Monitor Using DisplayPort

By supporting DisplayPort over USB Type-C, the HTC 10 phone can be connected easily to a DisplayPort monitor where you can enjoy YouTube videos, movies, games, etc on a larger screen. The ASUS MB169C+ USB Type-C Portable Monitor offers a handy option for mobiles which is not only backpack friendly but also conveniently powered by the PC or mobile device that is connected to it. 

However when connected directly over the USB 3.1 Type-C to Type-C cable that came with the ASUS MB169C+ USB Type-C Portable Monitor, the monitor was unable to display the HTC 10's screen. The HTC 10's DisplayPort functions unfortunately can't work with the ASUS MB169C+ USB Type-C Portable Monitor.
