The Huawei P10 phone supports USB Power Delivery along with Huawei's own SuperCharge technology over its USB Type-C interface.

The Anker PowerPort+ 5 USB-C (click here for Amazon pricing) charger provides up to 2.4 amps on each of its downstream USB Type-A ports. Its rear USB Type-C port promises to deliver 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), 30 watts (15 volts @ 2 amps), and 35 watts (20 volts @ 1.5 amps).

When plugged in over USB Type-C, we observed the Anker charger repeatedly claimed over USB Power Delivery to provide an initial 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), and 45 watts (15 volts @ 3 amps) to charge the Huawei phone from 1% battery. Note these PDO's actually contradict with the power profiles as seen on the back of the charger's casing.

After a hard reset later, we also observed the Huawei P10 requesting 18 watts (9 volts @ 2 amps) from the charger which it accepted.

The Anker charger then went on to declare a fourth PDO of 45 watts (20 volts @ 2.25 amps) in addition to the initial power profiles.

The Huawei P10 didn't use the additional power profile to still settle on 18 watts (9 volts @ 2 amps) with the charger.

When directly connected to the Anker PowerPort+ 5 USB-C over USB Type-C, starting with 1% battery the Huawei P10 took approximately 180 minutes to fully charge.

During the initial plug in there was a brief period that the phone charged by pulling current at 9 volts. Only after 24 minutes of charging did the current pulled start to stabilize but gradually decreased from 1.7 amps to 0.6 amps at 9 volts.

After 69 minutes of charging, the current pulled spiked up to 1.3 amps at 9 volts while the phone was switched off or in sleep mode. While the phone was being used, the current steadily dropped down to 0.2 amps.

Strangely throughout the entire power charging cycle, we never saw the power reach 18 watts. Rather, the power pulled at most reached 15 watts during small intervals during initial charging.
