The rise of portable PC's with Thunderbolt 3 also increases the demand for charging options. The 2-in-1 notebook-tablet hybrid Spectre x360 (2nd Generation 2017) uses USB Power Delivery through its Thunderbolt port allowing it to stay charged by many different chargers that support USB Power Delivery such as the Anker PowerPort+ 5 USB-C with USB Power Delivery. Let's see how well the Anker  PowerPort+ 5 USB-C with USB Power Delivery performs with the Spectre x360 (2nd Generation 2017).

The Anker PowerPort+ 5 USB-C with USB Power Delivery initiates USB Power Delivery negotiations by advertising its source capabilities of 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), and 45 watts (15 volts @ 3 amps). The Spectre x360 (2nd Generation 2017) then requests to pull 60 watts (20 volts @ 3 amps) which the charger accepts.

The Anker PowerPort+ 5 USB-C with USB Power Delivery later declares that it supports not only the 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), and 45 watts (15 volts @ 3 amps) it initially declared but also an additional power profile of 45 watts (20 volts @ 2.25 amps). The Spectre x360 (2nd Generation 2017) then requests to draw that 45 watts (20 volts @ 2.25 amps) which is accepted by the Anker PowerPort+ 5 USB-C with USB Power Delivery.

As the Spectre x360 (2nd Generation 2017)'s battery gets closer to being fully charged, we can see that the PC pulls around 40 watts (20 volts @ 2 amps) from the Anker PowerPort+ 5 USB-C with USB Power Delivery.

It's good to see that the Anker PowerPort+ 5 USB-C with USB Power Delivery is able to charge certain Windows based Thunderbolt 3 PC's like the Spectre x360 (2nd Generation 2017) using USB Power Delivery technology.
