Using the Huawei P10 that we purchased in Japan, we looked around to see what Uber cars were visible. Taxi fares are very high in Japan and given how difficult it is sometimes to communicate your destination to a Japanese taxi driver, we thought Uber might be a good solution. Unfortunately, we could only find a single lonely Uber car in the entire Tokyo-Yokohama metropolitan area.  

  

Japan is one of the few major countries where ride sharing apps are not popular perhaps due to the well developed public transportation and government regulation.

Still, makes you wonder who the lone driver was that turned on his or her Uber App.
