In an earlier review, we looked at how the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge gets charged using the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging Charger to support Samsung's 15 watts Adaptive Fast Charging scheme.  You can also use the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging Charger to charge other devices like the Redmi Note 4 which uses a charging scheme that is likely based on MediaTek's PumpExpress technology although actual charging time can be up to 2 hours and 40 minutes with its own charger.

The Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging Charger starts charging the Redmi Note 4 at 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps).  After about 2 hours and 20 minutes, the current starts drawing down to zero over a long period of time as the phone gets fully charged.  This charging seems to adhere to the USB Battery Charging 1.2 scheme which allows up to 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) which is slower than more modern fast charging schemes.
